Warwick

We went to visit Kyoko's friends Alison and Javier in Birmingham this weekend. After driving through a torrential rainstorm to get there, we headed to Warwick to do some sightseeing. The city is full of historic landmarks and some of the friendliest people. As we were leaving, an outdoor evening folk festival was just getting started. Crowds of people gathered in the market square to hear traditional Spanish folk music. No doubt there were people in a region of Spain somewhere that night enjoying some English folk songs...!

All the photos from the trip are here.

Furling of St George's Cross

A sad day for England was marked at the office today. After losing our World Cup quater-final clash with Portugal on the weekend, the flag of St George's Cross, that stood so proudly by Mike's desk, was furled to the tune of The Last Post.

Music was courtesy of Gabriel (who is Swedish and looking for revenge!)
